Opening a Movie

To open a movie file, select File->Open Movie from the menu or click on  Open Movie in the upper left toolbar.

By default, accepted video formats include mpeg-1 encoded AVI, WMV and MPEG (MPG) files. However, if additional codecs are already installed on your computer, you will be able to use additional video file formats and encodings. In most (but not all) cases, if a video file can be played by Windows Media Player, than the required codec is already installed and this file can be used by Movie Cartoonizer too. For more information on accepted formats and on converting movies to accepted formats see Additional Information on Input  File Formats.

It is also possible to use web camera to generate a movie, see Recording a Movie with WebCam for more information.

Movie Cartoonizer provides most spectacular results for good quality input movies (clear, with good lightening and contrast, not grainy).
