This software requires certain processor speed, available memory and available hard drive space. It can still run on systems that do not fully meet the specified System Requirements if the program settings are adjusted to produce lower resolution movies or/and to reduce the number of frames that can be re-open for editing. For faster systems with more memory and available hard drive space, these settings can be changed in the opposite direction for higher resolution and easy editing.

To adjust the program settings, select Options->Performance from the main menu.

Options

The first setting is the number of frames that are kept open for editing. The "closed" frames are saved and will show up in the preview and output, but they can not be edited. Keeping frames open does not require additional CPU or memory, but it requires hard drive space. One open frame with the resolution of 320x240 requires approximately 25MB on the hard drive. Changing this setting does not reset the project, however it only takes partial effect for the current project.

The second setting is the resolution of the output movie or GIF animation. Frames with higher resolution require more hard drive space, more memory and are processed slower. Changing this second setting resets the project.
